People often talk about the PlayStation generation and how they have no physical robustness… This is true to a certain extent, however I believe it to be more down to a lack of “Toughness”.
One of the most important elements people (of all ages) miss from their training is “Toughness”… Don’t get me wrong, people train hard… They get hot and sweaty and really out of breath.
However, give someone a set of heavy Farmers Walk Handles or a set of 20 Rep Back Squats to do and the only way to describe what happens is “Whining & Whinging”.
I believe this style of training not only delivers results, but also breeds humans that have the mentality that they can complete any task.
After a set of 20 Rep Back Squats at 70%+ of your 1RM… Your “Safe Space” and other “1st World Problems” seem to become less of an issue… In my opinion anyway.
