My client base in Macclesfield is extremely mixed with both males and females of all ages coming to see me for Personal Training, Private Group Sessions, Sports Therapy and Nutritional Services.
Having such a variety of clients with so many different needs and goals really makes my job as a Personal Trainer so much more interesting.
Weight loss goals (Especially amongst my female clients) are still the most common I see, however I am also seeing a lot more females coming to me with the goal of developing Strength!
I have worked with females who have competed in sports like powerlifting and rugby, where strength training is in common place, but when I say I am getting females with goals of increasing strength, I am talking about general clients with no sporting goals… They simply want to improve their muscular strength for their own personal gain.
To me this is a massive step forward in people understanding that strength training (Strength & Conditioning) is the basis of all sporting and fitness goals… At one end of the scale it might be just having the strength to go from a seated to a standing position unaided… and at the other end of the scale, having the strength to cope with the stresses that competing on a world stage in any particular sport will have on our body.
No matter what we are doing or what level we are doing it at, our bodies have to have the strength to cope with it… Our Strength is Our Foundation!
