Rock Climbing

Well it’s that time of the week again ‘Blog’ time.

 
So it’s been a whole week since my last blog and I have been so excited about it (like a big kid) I think it’s because I generally am sat here typing away having a full conversation with no one but myself and its actually really nice =) in parts I actually laugh ‘to myself’ in the hope that maybe your laughing at the same bit too lol or that could just be me and my poor sense of humour.

So my week so far, what have I done? I’d like to say not much but It’s been a busy week since Thursday =) where to start, after my first blog last week I was feeling all hyped, I went and did a big back session with Jay (which of course was horrendous) and then I went for a run with one of my girls, she’s asked me to help her train for a 5 & 10K run which is nice and a good way for us to catch up (so chat each other’s ears of as she can talk as much as I can haha) but it was nice and I do miss running. I don’t run as much anymore due to the fact I must be the clumsiest person I know, I have had various running injuries, mostly if not all have ended with me face planting the floor but landing in all sorts of weird ways (obviously in an attempt to stop myself from failing) causing me to damage my hip, ankle, knee and lower back so as you can imagine me running any further than 10k more than once a week leaves me in some pain.

After my run and still all hyped I decided to join the ‘fake tan Thursday’ club and thought I’ll put some on, make myself feel better, as all us girls know we do feel a million times better with a tan even If its freezing out there and the only part of my body that is visible is my face, which I don’t even tan haha, but anyway I did and it didn’t turn out to bad so I was pleased with that although it’s almost faded now =(

My weekend was quite chilled I didn’t have a big boozy night out instead I trained a few times and on Saturday me and Jay decided to go rock climbing, Jay being Jay is obviously trained to rock climb so he wasn’t scared and of course was amazing as all men seem to be at everything, or think they are lol. I on the other hand haven’t rock climbed since I was little, luckily I’m a bit of an ‘adrenaline junky’ and like to do things that are that bit scarier =) it was actually really fun as well I even managed to get to the top of the high wall which was ace. I have managed to get a few bruises from rock climbing that I blame on jay and the fact he thought it was funny to let me hang just above the floor so my feet couldn’t touch and I couldn’t stand up, I did find it funny in fairness but wow it hurt, those harness’s dig right in.

Saturday night I decided to make home-made sweet chilli chicken with egg fried rice and to my surprise it turned out pretty much perfect, big brownie points to meeeee.

My working week has been the same as most I would imagine 9-5 sat on my bum all day and then I train at night, had some good sessions this week, doing my plan that Jay set for me and really enjoying it, I like going to the gym knowing what I’m doing as it helps motivate me, I guess that what keeps me going and changing up my workouts has been good, there hard but I like to be pushed and Jay is definitely doing that.

So along with Jay’s ‘training programme’ he has done for me I have also done a 6 week meal plan, I have a few events coming up one being a wedding so we all know what it’s like to try and fit in that tiny dress and actually be able to walk, sit and eat comfortably and still look good so my determination is right up there.

I have found that setting myself small goals to reach my ‘big goal’ helps me to get there as their easier to reach and as I hit each small goal I’m that bit closer to my overall goal.

I have found that along the way of hitting my goals and actually starting to get those ‘gains’ there will always be people that try and drag you down, comment on how far you have to go or that ‘they can do better than you’, I used to find this really demotivating and it kind of hurt too, but now I just look back on how far I have actually come and think, “you know what, screw you” I decided not to listen to those who want to bring me down, they do this just because their jealous. Instead I have started to post even more ‘selfie’s’ to show my progress and more than anything I post a lot of foodie pics all over my Insta ‘lisa_lashes88’ check them out see what you think =)

So I finally start college on Saturday and I’m sooo excited, I actually can’t wait, I have been ‘geeking’ up with Jay he has helped me loads to learn all my bones, muscles, energy systems and I have been working through all my units. In school being a ‘geek’ was seen to be bad but I want so smash this course and I want to be one of the best, I want to show my determination and how much I want this so I’m going to be the biggest ‘geek’ =)

I think I have finally got all my stuff ready but knowing me ill turn up and I will of forgotten something which is nothing new at all or better yet I’ll get lost, turn up late and be that embarrassed ill just sit in the back haha.
